Careers with Blue Street Communications

Periodically, we need highly qualified consultants and grants writers to augment our award winning team.  We provide well defined work assignments to highly qualified independent contractors (1099) and part-time (W2) employees.  Our contracts usually last one - six months and many turn into full-time employment.

Our client requirements are immediate, diverse, complex, and often multidisciplinary. We contract with seasoned grant and proposal writing experts, subject matter experts, researchers, Web designers, technical writers, technical illustrators and graphic artists, and curriculum development specialists for part-time and full-time assignments to meet these requirements.

If either of these descriptions describe you, we want to hear from you:

"You are a seasoned professional at the top of your game.  You embrace technology for efficiency and communicating globally and  you possess good written and oral communication skills.  You know the grants and proposal writing business inside out and are a highly motivated self-starter with a history of innovation and leadership.  You are familiar with  Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Groove technologies for collaborating with remote team members and sharing work progress with clients and project managers. Your immediate interest is for temporary or part-time assignments where you can work remotely."

"You are somewhere between the beginning and middle of your career, hungry, ready for a career change, or want to make a name for yourself in the grant writing, technical communications, or non-profit arenas.  You are a good listener (not a critical one) who can transform disjointed mumblings from a verity of team members into clear, concise, and focused communication tools.  You have always been told that you are a good writer and you believe that you are smart, articulate, and innovative.  You work well in groups, remotely through collaborative technologies, and have learned the importance of meeting deadlines and staying within budget. Your immediate interest is for temporary or part-time assignments where you can work remotely."

Send us an e-mail that describes your interests and availability. Include a link to at least one work sample and attach your resume and a cover letter as a Word document.

We regret that we do not respond individually to all inquiries until an assignment is immanent.  We will keep your information in our encrypted resource database and will contact you when a career match comes up.
